The Model 712 is where DNOR began: the brand’s first arm motor, launched in 2010, and still in production because it simply keeps working. A side-mounted arm system with infrared sensor and 2- or 4-channel remote, it carries the widest working temperature range in the arm series — 0°C to 80°C — a legacy of being over-engineered from day one.

Speed adjustment cushions the gate’s opening and closing, an Allen key opens the gate manually during outages, and the rechargeable backup battery covers blackouts. Designed to last up to 10 years with regular basic care, many first-generation 712s are still on duty.

Best for

  • Owners who value the simplest, most proven DNOR system

Model 712 — common questions

Is the DNOR 712 still supported?

Fully. The 712 remains in production, and parts and service are available through DNOR’s 500+ dealers across Malaysia, Indonesia and India.

Why choose the 712 over the newer 212?

Choose the 712 for its simplicity and its wide 0–80°C working temperature tolerance, or to replace an existing 712 like-for-like. The 212 is the newer everyday choice — our comparison post covers both in detail.

What happens to the 712 during a power cut?

The rechargeable backup battery keeps it operating, and the gate can always be opened manually with an Allen key.
